This black matte stone is Jet which is fossilized coal.  It has a lovely sheen to it and I've paired it with oxidized silver accented with a small Sapphire set in a 14 kt gold fill tube like a small satellite star!  It has a substantial top ring to accommodate most sizes of chains.  It is shown on a medium thick oxidized wheat style 20" chain.  This piece seems destined to be a classic that will be worn again and again to complete your look.  Only one.
